In 2009, a ZL-1 previously owned by Mr. October, Reggie Jackson, sold for $290,000. You could’ve bought 150 houses in Detroit, MI for that much.

If Custer had a stampede like that - 426 Hemi, heavy-duty suspension, 11” brakes - Little Bighorn might have been different. The ‘67 Charger’s disappearing headlights would have come in handy, although the high-performance nylon tires in the greasy grass of those Montana hills might not have been the most maneuverable.

It don’t mean a thing if you ain’t got that two-door hardtop, six-seater Dodge Dart Swinger. If that type of swinging ain’t your vibe, the 318-cubic-inch V8 would most definitely slide your keys to most coveted status at the party.

And those vinyl seats, covering the spacious cabin, mean you’ve got plenty of room to get down. To find loose change, of course. Remember, ladies don’t like to take small for an answer, so cruising in a cabin with enough room to carry the entire gang around in style should make them smile wide.

The ‘68 T-Bird was ready to fly into the Seventies a few years early.

New thunder (with lots of great etcetera in between!) included a 429 Thunder Jet V-8, Flight Bench Seats and that Landau-topped four-door. Look at the body design - straight lines and curves dancing together beautifully like hippies in a field.

Regardless of your opinions of the uniquely inviting mouth on the vehicle, the option of a 428 cubic-inch V8 seemed like a perfect choice for men with families trying to keep a youthful vitality alive, as well as single men looking for style points and/or some extra (well-needed) space in the back seats.

Either way, a Landau top is hard to beat.

Regardless of the “slightly extra-cost Panther Pink paint,” it’s a Charger. And any Charger should tickle one pink.

Some extra-tickle spots on the ‘70:

Front bench seat
Optional electric clock
Round dials in dash
Hidden headlights
Heavy duty suspension

The only thing that doesn’t tickle is the “extra-cost.”

Imagine finding one today with that original paint buffed and shining like it did when the shot this ad in 1970. Whoa, Nelly! Now that’d be something to get tickled over.
